Yesterday, our manager Mark made the most of the warm, sunny weather with a fantastic walk through some of the Lake District’s most beautiful scenery. Starting from Castlerigg Hall, he headed up to Walla Crag before continuing on to Ashness Bridge. From there, he followed the shores of Derwentwater to the Keswick Launch, crossed over to Hawes End, and then climbed Catbells. After taking the Keswick Launch back across the lake, he completed the route with a walk back to Castlerigg Hall.

If you're looking for a rewarding few hours of walking during your next stay with us, this is a route Mark highly recommends. It combines stunning views and a couple of the area's most popular fell walks.

It's a lovely day for our guests on site. Many ask who painted our mural of Castlerigg Stone Circle. We were lucky to have team members on work experience from the Czech Republic 🇨🇿 and Poland 🇵🇱 around 2006 who did an amazing job depicting the ancient neolithic circle close to our park.
