We were picking kale for our veg boxes this morning & really appreciating the beauty & diversity of this wonderful leafy veg! We grow 7 different varieties of kale which may sound a bit excessive but is really important for resilience, especially in unpredictable weather patterns. The Red Russian often suffers in hot summers but is super hardy so very useful if we get a cold winter; the perennial kales come into their own in the winter & early spring when the annual kales are coming to an end; and having that much diversity is not just beautiful to look at but good all round for pretty much everything including us 💚

****The Lovebrook Ceilidh****

Join us for an afternoon of music, dance, fun and community merriment at The Lovebrook Ceilidh!!

We will enjoy folk music from around the world with some wonderfully talented local musicians. We will learn some easy steps and dances that we can all join in with together. And as the afternoon draws on, the musicians will take it down a notch and invite you to listen and participate as they perform songs, musical pieces and improvisations around the fire or in the barn (as the weather allows!)

Hot and cold drinks will be available, and this event will be suitable for all ages, including families.

Tickets:
We want The Lovebrook Ceilidh to be accessible and affordable for all, so tickets are available on a Pay What You Can Afford basis.

Proceeds will be paid forward to musicians in order to continue the Ceilidh into the future.

Tickets available at our website or via link in bio.

Can’t wait to see you for a sing song, a cuppa and a whirl around the dance floor

**Samhain Community Gathering at Lovebrook.**

Join us on Saturday 31st October at 1.30pm as we gather again in community, to celebrate the next turn of the seasonal wheel.

This time it is Samhain - a time to honour the ancestors, those who have gone before, those who have inspired and influenced us, and those who we miss dearly. A time to honour grief in all its forms, and to be in gratitude for the harvest we continue to gather as the days grow shorter and the nights draw in.

We are lucky to have our dear friend of the farm Ruth Gleeson Ruby Vine joining us again, and guiding us through our time of ritual, poetry and prayer.

We will light a candle, make an offering, sink deep into a drum journey, and set intentions for the coming season.

Please feel free to join us, and if you wish to bring something to honour a dear one that has died, then please do. A photo, an object, some offerings from nature. All is welcome at the altar we will create together.
