As the great philosopher Plato once said: “Every fine pub has a fine quiz.” Actually, don’t quote us on that one 👀

Luckily, we’ve still got a proper Quiz Master running proceedings, the kind of person we’ve personally witnessed referee an orange squash chugging tie-breaker, so you know you’re in safe hands.

Our feel-good pub quiz continues on the second Tuesday of the month, with plenty of friendly competition and a £50 bar tab up for grabs.

A couple of days left for this beautiful beef featherblade on the specials board. It's served with confit garlic mash and a rich bourguignon sauce, with a few pickled shallots in there to cut through the richness.

Our cosy bedrooms, designed by Yorkshire’s Abi Hancock, are made for slowing down. Enjoy dinner and drinks, settle into a super king bed with fluffy robes, then wake up to a proper Yorkshire breakfast.
