Walk down the road towards the viaduct and you’ll find this finger post. Turn right, head over the small green bridge then follow the short trail to first Tŷ Poeth, then back to Llanerchindda farm 1.29 miles/347ft of ascent/807ft maximum elevation. Great views down the valley.

One of our guests recently visited National Trust Cymru at Dolaucothi.. This beefsteak fungus was hidden away in a tree trunk. A blood-red colour. One of the few wild mushrooms you can eat raw, sliced thin in salads.
