⚠️ DERWENT VALLEY LINE CLOSURE - PLAN AHEAD!

Travelling between Derby and Matlock this November? Here's what you need to know!

📅 Saturday 14 - Sunday 22 November 2026

No trains will run between Derby and Matlock for nine days while Network Rail carries out £3 million of essential track improvements.

🚌 Rail replacement buses will operate along the route, serving:

📍 Derby
📍 Duffield
📍 Belper
📍 Ambergate
📍 Whatstandwell
📍 Cromford
📍 Matlock Bath
📍 Matlock

The works will see approximately 4.6km of track renewed, helping to improve reliability for passengers travelling through the scenic Derwent Valley.

Normal train services are expected to resume on Monday 23 November.

Let's get our hands dirty for a good cause! 🗑️ We are thrilled to be teaming up with White Peak Distillery to host their next Community Cask event right here at the Taproom.

Since 2017, they have been bringing folks together to care for the local landscape. Now, it's our turn to help protect the valley and keep the areas we all love looking it's best.

Here is everything you need to know to get involved:

**When:** Thursday, 6th August at 6pm.
**Where:** Bentley Brook Brewing Co, Lumsdale Road, Matlock.
**What to bring:** Just bring a pair of gloves!
**What is provided:** A litter picker and a hi-vis jacket will be provided for you.
**The Reward:** Anyone who joins four or more of these Community Cask Litter Picks becomes a co-owner of a 100-litre Community Cask of Wire Works wh**ky!

See you Thursday for a tidy-up, followed by a well-earned pint at the bar! 🍻
