🪨 The story behind The Old Police Stone…

Did you know this stone wasn’t always here? 👀

We wanted something special to mark The Old Police House, something that felt like it belonged here and deserved its own little place in the story of the property 🫶

So, we took a trip to Whitby Quarry to find the perfect stone, chose the one we felt was just right, and had it carefully carved before bringing it back to Great Ayton.

And getting it into place was a story in itself! 😅 The sheer weight of the stone meant we had to arrange for it to be specially lifted into position before it could finally take pride of place outside the house!

From choosing the perfect stone at the quarry to seeing it engraved and lifted into position, every step was part of making it what you see today🏡✨

Here’s a little throwback to the journey from Whitby Quarry to its forever home at The Old Police House 🏡🪨
