❤️ A little personal update from me…
Some of you may have already spotted that The Plough Inn is now officially on the market, so I wanted to share the news personally rather than let the local rumour mill do the job for me! 😂
The Plough has been a massive part of my life, and I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved here. We’ve put a huge amount of time, hard work and love into turning it into the pub, restaurant and rooms business that it is today.
But life has changed a lot for me too.
Since having my children, and particularly with our family growing again recently, I’ve realised that I need to find a better balance between work and family life. Anyone who has run a hospitality business will know just how much of your life it can consume, and I want to make sure I’m around more while my children are growing up.
So the decision to put The Plough on the market isn't because we're giving up on the business — quite the opposite. I'm incredibly proud of where it is today, and I feel this is the right time to start looking for the right person to eventually take it forward into its next chapter.
And just to reassure everyone, there’s certainly no immediate goodbye! Whatever happens with the sale, I’ll still be here at The Plough for at least another 18 months, working alongside our team and continuing to push the business forward.
The Plough remains very much open and trading as normal, and we’ve still got lots planned for the months ahead.
Ideally, I'd love to see somebody take over who can build on what we've created and continue making The Plough a great local pub for Marsham and the surrounding community.
Most importantly, a massive thank you to our team and to everyone who has supported The Plough over the years. ❤️
For now, it’s very much business as usual at The Plough — and there are plenty more good times ahead before the next chapter begins.
