We had a day off today! We had a takeaway lunch from a little sandwich shop in Keswick called Jens Sandwich shop. I had a sundried tomato ciabatta filled with chicken & bacon and mayo. Jimmy had chicken tikka. We both had leek & potato soup.

We parked at the Theatre by the lake and had a picnic at the lake.

After we watched the musical Calendar Girls. It was incredible. Really recommend it.

Afterwards we walked to Bagheera Indian restaurant.

I had a pinacolada & Jimmy had a kingfisher.

We shared onion bhajis, chicken 65, beef, chicken korma and coconutrice. It was absolutely delicious. I recommend you book.

Who says my office views are not normal lol 😆 😂 🤣 😅

Just replying to some enquiries and bookings for 2027.

We have 11 free range chickens who lay fresh eggs everyday. We sell them at the huts. We have a honesty box next to the car park.

My youngest daughters Caitlyn & Georgia are in charge of egg collection and distribution.

We are now fully booked in September on weekends.

Our NEXT AVAILABLE WEEKEND IS 16TH OF OCTOBER!

Tonight we dined at Lantys Slee restaurant in Ambleside.

I had a burnt cherry mocktail( too much ch*****ne last night).

Jimmy and I shared beef jerky, smoked roasted nuts and toasted sour dough with beef jerky whipped butter.

We both shared the steak sharing platter with beef short rib and oxtail shepherd's pie.

For sides we had truffle mac & cheese, cheese & chive fries and deep fried silver skin pickled onions. We all had peppercorn sauce.

I had a bannoffee pie for pudding. All of the puddings looked nice.

Its best to book.

We gave it 10/10. I will definitely recommend this place and will be back.

Its 15 mins from the shepherd's huts to Ambleside.

Such brilliant news that Teddy has been found after going missing for almost 3 weeks on Helvellyn!

Well done to everyone who spent their time out looking for Teddy. You’re all absolutely wonderful! ❤️
