While having the ivy trimmed, Wayne from WR Pressure Washing and Gardening Services discovered an unpaid guest hiding among the undergrowth.
This little feathered visitor clearly thought the ivy was the perfect place to stay! 🏡🌱

My name is Daniel Blair and I’m a skateboarder from London.

On May 4th to May 23rd 2027, I am embarking on an incredible journey that I have called “The Long Skate Down”,
where I will be skateboarding solo down the entire length of the UK from John O’Groats to Lands End - a distance of 1000 miles, covering a minimum of 50 miles a day over 20 days
- it will be the fastest solo descent of the UK on a skateboard!
I am humbled to be raising funds for CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably), a charity that works tirelessly to provide support and prevent su***de, the single biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK. By partnering with CALM,
I am determined to make a difference and save lives through this remarkable undertaking.

I will be passing through Penrith on Wednesday 12th May and I was hoping that The Brooklands Guesthouse might be willing to support my journey by offering accommodation for the night.

And here at Brooklands we said yes and shall be hosting Danny for the night on his epic adventure.
