💕Happy anniversary to us!!
⛰️We chose Braemar region for our adventure and climbed Beinn Bhreac and Beinn a' Chaorainn in the Cairngorms.
🏞This pair of Munros may not have the drama of others, but what they do have is ... spaciousness - big open skies.
🚵‍♂️We cycled in to Derry Lodge and ditched the bikes under a bush - we were glad of them on the way back - its a 29km (18 mile route) and shaved a fair bit off our 8-10 hour walk!
🍾We finished off with a night at the Craigendarroch Hotel and some champagne.
There's life in the old dogs yet 💪💪

9 weeks to the which we're doing again this year.
We'll be doing another prize draw for a weekend at River Edge Lodges Edge Lodges in the coming weeks. Keep your eyes peeled ... 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️🚶

We are raising funds to support a new social enterprise that will provide mental health and wellbeing support to the people of Tayside.

We explored Lochawe in Argyll this week. Our kids gifted us a getaway at Ben Cruachan Inn - Restaurant and Pub with Rooms which was lovely. Our original plan had been to climb Ben Cruachan and Stob Daimh but as per my previous post a nasty cold/cough put paid to that.
We still had a great time visiting St Conans Kirk, Loch Awe and Kilchurn Castle and Cruachan - The Hollow Mountain

This is day 13 of trying to throw off a cold. A persistent cough has been a bit wearing.

Today I made this soothing drink:

Juice of half a lemon (organic)
2 teaspoons of honey ( mine was BeeHype Ginger and Turmeric infused raw honey)
BeeHype Honey
Hot water in a mug

Stir, sit in the sun (Vit D), sip and recover 🍋🍵🐝🌞

I've also been doing:
Steam inhalation
Vit C
Lots of fluids
Rest (sort of)
No cold showers
No long walks
Slow deep breaths for lung expansion
Ibuprofen and paracetamol for sore ribs
