A most extraordinary and wonderful thing happened in my workshop recently. I won't name names but you know who you are!
A few weeks ago, a customer came in with two flutes that were no longer needed. He wanted to give them away and asked if they were any use to children perhaps, so I took them in. He had just returned from Australia and New Zealand, having lived there for decades and recently moved back to the Isle of Wight.
Shortly thereafter, another new customer came in, who was actually from Australia. I had never had even one ex-Australian customer before these two, in 9 years of repairing.
Here's the amazing bit: he also had two flutes he didn't want, and also suggested they might be useful for children. I have taken those in too.
These two gentlemen don't know each other; they both had two spare flutes and had both come over from Australasia. No-one else has given away two flutes to me like this.
Usually I look for life lessons from coincidences like this. Maybe a spirit of generosity I need to focus on. I know some folks will just think of this as pure, random coincidence. What do you think?🙂
