We’ve been back a few days so time to reflect on an amazing week in Ireland 🇮🇪

Far too much to mention, and the pics say it all, but if you are thinking of a trip then:

🌟 We stayed near Westport in County Mayo - a brilliant location to explore the Atlantic coast

🌟 Our Air BnB was genuinely incredible - cycling and wild swimming from the door, and (importantly - our usual criteria) it was the annexe of a lovely, lovely owner, Donal

🌟 The greenway off-road cycle path to Achill Island was HEAVEN!

🌟 Food and drink were superb!

Oh that’s enough. If you want any tips or advice just let us know (especially the accommodation).

We’ll bore you to death with the photo book next time you stay 🤣

As we approach our ‘Crafnanthousiversary’ this month it is lovely to reflect on the history of our ‘grand old lady’ and share these old pictures featuring the house and the village in the past! 🕰️

With recently repainted to mirror its own history you can stand in the street now and Trefriw doesn’t look that much different to a hundred years ago!

I love seeing the people in these pictures too - you wonder who they were, what they were doing, and what stories they could tell.

We are of course just the latest custodians to look after Crafnant House - maybe somebody else will be putting out a similar post in 50 years time! ☺️

HEATWAVE WEEK photo dump!!! 🥵☀️♨️

Wow what a scorcher!!! Suppose if you have to be anywhere when the weather is like this then our little corner of North Wales is not a bad place to be 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

And ALL of our fab guests stayed for four nights this week to enjoy the beautiful weather - they must have known!!! 😍

Survival efforts have included:

☂️ - shady spots all around the garden
🏊🏻‍♀️ - regular dips for both humans and dogs!
🥗 - an alfresco Med-inspired dinner with some lovely guests
🪭 - fans in rooms!!!
🍺 - cold beer …

Well May is flying by!!!

The weather - well let’s not talk about that ☀️💨☔️

Lovely guests though, and we’ve had time for a few afternoons out to places like Conwy ☺️

The rest of May is looking super busy but we still have availability throughout June if you fancy your Wales fix 😉🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
