There's is so much positivity in Whitby as Goth Week-end comes to a close. It's a shame that there are rumblings about Airbnb in the background. It's the only platform we use apart from our own website, and we welcome lovely guests who are looking for a stay that is unique, while convenient and comfortable. We have simply the best Goths staying in our cabins. Before we moved to Whitby I was only vaguely aware of Goth Week-end and we were actually a bit surprised to see a bat (that was Hannah - below in this year's outfit) getting out of the car seven years ago. Our lovely Goth guests return year on year. We have learnt so much from and simply love to see their amazing costumes

Coming to the close of a full on summer with some lovely guests enjoying our woodland cabins. I’ve been a bit quiet on social media. That’s because we don’t just ‘talk the talk’……life here is full on and genuinely seasonal. With the recent storms (bad hair day) we harvested the bulk of our produce.

AND we are now selling Mark’s raw honey in our cabins. More about this to follow

I was wondering why our cosy cabin, Treetops, had not booked for New Year. It's usually snapped up by a couple wanting a romantic quiet time in unique surroundings. So I double checked the settings and I had made a mistake when I set the pricing (ticked per night instead of per stay).

Recent reviews describe Treetops as:

Wonderful

Peaceful

Magical

And Cosy of course!

We’ve been a bit slow releasing dates so you can book stays in 2027. With Xmas fast approaching, and people asking to buy a stay as a Xmas present, I started this process yesterday.

For 2026 we increased the two night options - they are always popular. But then as summer approached we had to turn down lots of requests for longer stays.

SO while two night options available through the winter, we are only taking 3, 4 and 7 night stays from Easter week.

The good news is that we haven’t put our prices up at all. And there is Fri/Sat availability, and 2 night mid week stays, from December to end of March （November weekends are full) and all cabins are warm and cosy inside.

If you are one of the many guests who said they wished they had stayed longer, here’s your chance….

In summer our woodland provided shelter from the heat. Because the cabins are on a slope they are also protected from the extremes of winter storms. When we moved here our mission was to be a sanctuary for wildlife but that works for people too. But don't just take our word for it....

'The photos don't do this cabin justice. This is exactly what we were after. The only bad bit was having to leave.'

'Beautiful and tranquil as you could want. You could easily never see another human whilst there. Perfect!'

'Perfect for a quiet break away, right on the doorstep of Whitby which is lovely to explore. Plenty of walks to find and would love to come back'
