🔥❄️ WHERE FIRE MEETS ICE!

Something extraordinary is coming to Whitby…

On Saturday 23 January 2027, Whitby will host its first Fire & Ice Festival!

Discover nine spectacular ice sculptures celebrating the town's heritage, creativity and culture, watch live ice carving, have a go at carving the ice wall, forge in the blacksmith's forge, and experience a dramatic fire and drumming performance inspired by Whitby folklore.

From Baxtergate to the harbour-side, we're bringing a little winter magic to Whitby.

And the best part? It's FREE to attend!

The iconic whale bone arch has sadly been removed today and it looks very strange without it 😔
However, it’s being replaced by a bronze replica which should be in place early 2027 🤞
