Does anyone remember the old HSBC in Whitby. Well it has just reopened its doors as a new bar. Called the The Treasury. Simon and I popped in for a drink last week.I loved my gin bramble cocktail whilst having a little reminisce about where all the counters, ATM's and offices used to be. Cocktails were 2 for £20 and Simons pint of non-alcoholic beer was under £5. They are opening up for food in a few weeks time. About a 10 mins walk from our B&B, well worth a visit.

Good Morning from a lovely sunny Whitby. Breakfast stotties served this morning. Stotties from Botham's of Whitby (also known in other places as teacake, bread bun etc) with the guests choice which was sausage, bacon and a fried egg. Amazing. Always worth a visit. Mulgrave House is a short drive from Whitby and for the open days there is parking close to the venue. The gardens are magnificent especially the walled garden.

Just seen that it is National Fish and Chips day so thought I would share the post from Trenchers. (Trenchers is only about a 10 mins walk down the hill from our B&B). It really makes me want fish and chips today😀

I love this shop and the new design of tea towels. I am definitely going to encourage my children to buy one for Father's Day for Simon. Hopefully he will love it😀. This shop is part way down on Church Street, about a 12-14 mins walk from our B&B.

Good Morning. It's hot enough to need sun tan cream, flip flops and a hat. Plus for those brave enough to take a dip in the sea (10 degrees at the moment which feels very cold still) take note of the message below from the RNLI - really important message. Plus I noticed a few jelly fish around yesterday so be aware of that also. Enjoy your bank holiday weekend.

We are expecting some lovely weather along the coast this Bank Holiday weekend.

- Move your hands and legs gently to help you stay afloat

Availability for this Friday Saturday, we have proper off street parking, no scratchcards or stomping around bag in tow. Gorgeous breakfasts, fill your boots with full English. Good vegetarian options available.

We are also pet free, we are though happy to recommend accommodation locally that do accept dogs. Try Boulmers and Arundel House.
