Questa festa risale al 1577 come ringraziamento per la fine di una peste che aveva devastato la città.
Il governo della Serenissima commissionò ad Andrea Palladio il progetto di una chiesa che diventò uno dei simboli più eleganti della città: la Chiesa del Redentore.
Per celebrare questa ricorrenza, durante il terzo fine settimana di luglio, i devoti raggiungono la chiesa attraverso il ponte votivo costruito con barche e alla sera il cielo di Venezia si accende improvvisamente di meraviglia ✨

This festival dates back to 1577 as a thanksgiving for the end of a plague that had devastated the city.
The government of the Serenissima commissioned Andrea Palladio to design a church that became one of the city's most elegant symbols: the Church of the Redeemer.
To celebrate this occasion, during the third weekend of July, devotees make their way to the church via the votive bridge built with boats, and in the evening, the Venetian sky suddenly lights up with wonder ✨
