Nikki stayed with us recently, here’s what she had to say:

Literally the cleanest room I’ve ever stayed in…and my expectations are sky high! Place looked and felt brand new. No wall scuffs, no nasty grout, no warn carpet. It was adorable! Location was great too. Easy parking and just a short walk to the beach and the restaurants in town.

We love this recent review!

It is so rare to find accommodation for 5 (2 adults and 3 children) where we can all stay together in one room versus having to book two separate rooms, we really appreciated this! The room was spotless, warm and incredibly comfortable, even the sofa bed!

You can really tell Kerry and the team have taken incredible care, time and thought into making sure their guests feel welcome in such an epic space.

Beautiful amenities more than enough coffee and a fully stocked laundry made our stay just a bit more special. Shoutout to the housekeeping team, you are epic!!! It really was as if we were the first people to use our room, incredible!

Loved our overnight stay at Hokitika and the Fire Station. Very roomy space with comfortable layout and everything you could want for a short stay. Looked and felt very new - beautifully refurbished. Highly recommended and we’d definitely stay again!

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Last minute booking by phone and we were in our room (Chief Maillard) within 5 minutes. Beautifully appointed suite in every way - by far the nicest hotel room we’ve stayed in for a long time. Super comfortable bed.

We’ll definitely stay here again!

The building has such an interesting history. Comfortable and modern. Highly enjoyable stay. With great extra touches that other accommodations lack to provide eg extra coffee pods, muesli bars, good size small milk.

I highly recommend this accommodation!!

Especially for anyone who has served as a fire fighter. Beautiful rooms with historical items of interest to be found around the hotel. Walking distance to everything in the town, historical buildings, and the beach.
