A Post Hurricane Update from Seaspray

Dear Guests,

Our hearts are with everyone in the Fort Walton Beach community as we begin recovering from Hurricane Isaias. The storm left significant damage throughout our area, and Seaspray was not spared. Flooding affected our ground-floor units, clubhouse, and office, and we also sustained roof damage and lost our property signage.

While some work remains, we’re grateful that power and internet service have been restored. Our team is diligently assessing the property, inspecting our units and amenities, and determining the necessary repairs to ensure a safe return for our guests. We will open some units by October 18, with more to follow in the coming weeks.

Although recovery will take time, we remain hopeful and committed to rebuilding so we can welcome you back to the beautiful Emerald Coast. We’re incredibly thankful for your patience, kindness, and continued support during this challenging time.

Thank you for being part of the Seaspray family. We look forward to the day we can welcome you back for more memorable beachside stays.

ATTENTION
Dear valued guest and friends of Seaspray, we have experienced a very powerful hurricane with severe disruption in all communication services along with power and minimal damage to our property. Please be patient during this difficult time as we are working tirelessly along with state and local authorities and services. Because of these circumstances Seaspray will be closed until further notice. We are hoping this closure will be very temporary. If you have reservations please know a staff member will be getting in contact with you very soon. Again, all communications are unavailable at this time.

FPL Power Update Later Tonight

Florida Power and Light (FPL) RESTORATION: FPL President and CEO Scott Bores gave an update this afternoon on the restoration of power following Hurricane Isaias. He said that later tonight, FPL will release what they hope will be their restoration timelines that will give an indication of when they will have power restored to all customers.

“ We are still completing our damage assessments and getting a full comprehensive understanding of the extent of the damage to our system,” Bores said.

FPL’s restoration workforce is approximately 16,000 men and women from 29 states.
