Yesterday I got to play floral designer.
To be fair, it’s a hat I wear fairly often at Andiamo Lodge—along with about 27 others—but yesterday’s adventure was for longtime client and dear friend at her Atlanta showroom during Market.
I’ve been photographing Jan’s incredible work for longer than I can remember, and I truly love, love everything she creates. We have several of her beautiful pieces at the Lodge and Monk’s Cottage, and we’re proud to carry her work at as well.
So yesterday’s mission? Jazz up the showroom with flowers, magnolia branches, greenery, and all the natural goodness we could gather.
Of course, Atlanta decided to provide a steady rain. Which meant cutting enormous magnolia branches, hauling them across town, and somehow getting them (along with flowers and gallons of water) into AmericasMart without completely losing our minds. 🌧️😂
Thankfully, I had my dear friend by my side. Naomi helped cut, schlep, lift, arrange, and generally make the impossible seem easy.
Naomi is a move manager—and quite honestly the best I’ve ever seen. If you need a little (or a lot of) organization in your life, she’s your person.
The whole day was a reminder of the power of friendship: showing up, pitching in, laughing through the rain, and creating something beautiful together.
Thank you, Naomi, for all you do. xx
