Sharing a note from Beth Teal

I don’t think there are enough words to truly express our gratitude for the incredible outpouring of love and support our family has received since Mark’s unexpected passing.

The entire Teal family and Strawbridge family are so thankful for the kindness, prayers, support, and love that have surrounded us during this difficult time. Every message, card, hug, meal, helping hand, flowers, donations to our favorite causes, flags throughout our front yard and all other thoughtful gestures have meant more than you know.

The support shown by our school, staff, friends, and community has been a beautiful reminder of the importance of showing up for one another, caring for each other, and knowing we are never alone.

From a simple hello or wave, to checking on Ryan and helping him find his new routine, to the countless ways people have stepped in to help our family — we are forever grateful.

When I finally agreed to stand up at Mark’s funeral, I was overwhelmed by the number of people who came to support us. Seeing how many lives Mark touched and how many people loved him was something I will never forget.

Mark and I shared a love that continued to grow every day. I never knew it was possible to love someone more with each passing year, but that is exactly what we had. I am so grateful I got to share that life with him.

As we figure out this new path, Ryan and I want to personally say thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We are truly blessed to have the love and support of our Teal family, Strawbridge family, friends, school, and community beside us. With all of you, we will continue moving forward.

Thank you for surrounding us with so much compassion, kindness, and love. We are forever grateful.

We’re firing up the pit for a Fourth of July Pig Roast on Saturday, July 4th at 3:00 PM, held in or in front of the Rec Hall.

Jason and Christie Phillips from Lot 51 will be preparing a whole‑hog BBQ, and it’s going to be a great afternoon of good food and good company.

Please bring:

• Your own drinks
• A side dish (enough to feed about 10 people)

Plates, flatware, and napkins will be provided.

This event is for registered campers only.
We can’t wait to celebrate with our campground family.

WE ARE STILL UNDER A BURN BAN.

Burn Ban Update for Sandy Hill Family Camp

Wicomico County has issued a county‑wide burn ban due to drought conditions. However, campfires at Sandy Hill are still allowed as long as everyone follows the specific rules in the order:

• Fires must be in designated fire rings, grills, fire pits, or fireplaces
• They must be attended at all times
• Before leaving your site or breaking camp, fires must be drowned and fully extinguished
• Recreational campfires are limited to 2 ft wide and 3 ft high

Everything else — including open burning — is prohibited during the ban.

Every couple’s true test of patience: backing up the RV.
One’s yelling directions, the other’s yelling physics, and somewhere in between… a tree loses the argument.
