I thought I'd share the photo I posted on Dancing Bear Toys - Door County FB page this morning ~ we play "Where's the shop cat?" Yesterday Esperanza Raffaela was on duty as shop cat. Most of you probably know, we also own Dancing Bear, we opened it in 1994!! I run Dancing Bear and Dennis runs White Lace Inn.

Then, I also included 2 past photos of Room 3, English Lavender Room. It's our smallest room, but it features a generous sized bathroom with gorgeous tile and an oversized soaking tub. The furniture pieces are the same, but linens and upholstered pieces would be different, those wear out. ~ ♡ Bonnie

Then, I thought it would be fun to show a suite with its bed dressed in different linens.... this is suite 17, Country Summer. Naturally, linens and bedding wear out, so we make changes. The bed and the wooden furniture stay the same, but curtains and linens wear out and get replaced.

Wait, stop .... it's not fall .... yet!! But, the last week of August is quieter and more rooms are available to choose...

Wait, stop .... it's not fall .... yet!! But, the last week of August is quieter and more rooms are available to choose from. Nearing the end of summer is lovely and sweet, kids are going back to school soon, nights are cooler for a stroll to historic Third Avenue for dinner, or walking the bridge loop. A late summer storm blew through Door County Tuesday night. Most of it seemed to bypass Sturgeon Bay, and the sky after the storm was clear and colorful. Here are some photos of the sky above the Secret Garden tonight after the storm.

Also, photos of Winter Warmth, Suite 16 in the Hadley House with a king sized canopy bed made by Leonard's Beds of Massachusetts, a two sided fireplace between the sitting room and bathroom, a Vermont Casting fireplace in the bedroom, soaking tub in the bathroom & separate shower.

How can it be mid August already? Summer nights are gentle, the little waterfall in the pond beside the Garden House is gurgling, the perennial garden is still an explosion of color, and there's a slight little lull at the end of August and the beginning of September. Come join us.
