Mountaineer Campground The ideal place to enjoy both forested serenity and all the adventures the Smokies have to offer.

We are a wonderful family place with numerous activities nearby for all ages. Our campground has many amenities to offer such as all shaded sites (grass, gravel with patios, or concrete), river sites with large decks, swimming pool, children's playground, laundry facilities and a modern, super clean bathhouse.

Midweek at Mountaineer Campground is when the Smokies feel like they belong to you. Slower pace, easier check-ins, more elbow room at the fire ring, and the same star-filled skies you came here for.

Roll in Sunday or Monday, settle in, and let the week unfold. Hike a quiet trail, float the river, wander into Townsend for lunch, or just sit. That part is allowed too.
