Looking for a beautiful forest hike on Mount Lemmon, Arizona? Here are a few facts about Marshall Gulch Trail #3:
🥾 Distance: 1.3 miles one way
⛰️ Elevation: Approximately 7,400–7,900 feet
📈 Elevation gain: About 500 feet
🌲 Difficulty: Rated easy by the U.S. Forest Service
💧 Trail feature: Follows Marshall Gulch Creek through a shaded forest
🔄 Loop option: Connect with the Aspen Trail for roughly a 4-mile loop
🌳 Scenery: Pine, fir, oak, aspen and other high-elevation vegetation
🐦 Wildlife: The forest provides habitat for numerous birds and mountain wildlife
Please note that access to trailheads from the Marshall Gulch picnic area is only available on Fri. Sat & Sun. due to construction. You must walk in - there is no car access.
