Halloween in Vredehoek 🎃👻

We decided to join in this year, and what a fun evening it turned out to be!

From decorated houses and little trick-or-treaters to neighbours getting together and joining the fun. The whole neighbourhood was buzzing.

Love seeing the neighbourhood come together like this. 🧡

Molteno Reservoir is open again! ☀️

After a longer-than-usual annual maintenance closure, this beautiful spot in Oranjezicht is open to the public again. The work took a little longer this year as it also included upgrades and repairs to the bridge.

If you haven’t been here yet, it’s well worth a visit. With Table Mountain reflecting in the water on one side and Devil’s Peak on the other, it’s a beautiful spot for a walk or a run right in the City Bowl.

Opening hours:
7-11am and 4-7pm

Definitely one to add to your Cape Town walks. 🌿

A very proud mum moment ❤️🏃‍♂️

What a special atmosphere in Cape Town this weekend at the Nelson Mandela Marathon.

From race pack collection to cheering on the runners along the route, it was wonderful to be part of the energy, the community and the excitement.

And of course, cheering on our own half-marathon runner made it extra special. ❤️

A special moment: meeting Nelson Mandela’s grandson, who fired the starting gun.

An adventurous week off the grid.

Orange River, wild camping, river swims, fishing, the Namaqua 4x4 Trail, family, friends, braais and a potjie competition.

We had to move our camp a few times as the river unexpectedly rose, and some of the roads turned seriously muddy.

But we made it - and headed home with a lot of good memories. 🇿🇦

One of the things I really enjoy about working with international buyers is being their eyes and ears when they can’t be in Cape Town themselves.

When I’m viewing a property on their behalf, I look beyond what’s immediately obvious - the light, layout, surroundings, potential future development, and all those details you won’t necessarily see in the listing photos.

Because a property can photograph beautifully and still not be the right property for a particular buyer.

And when I’m working with sellers, I look at it from the other side:

What will buyers notice when they walk through the door? What will make them connect with the property - and what might make them hesitate?

There’s a lot more to a property than what you see in the listing photos.
