We are making steady progress with the necessary legal and administrative processes and are currently obtaining quotations for the restoration work and an upgraded camera system for the future livestream.

Ever seen a male lion pull back his upper lip and wondered what he’s doing? This is called the Flehmen response.
By curling his lip and slightly opening his mouth, the lion draws scents toward a special organ called the Jacobson’s organ, located in the roof of his mouth. This helps him analyse interesting smells—especially chemical signals left by other lions.
It can help him gather information about who has been in the area, whether a female may be ready to mate, and what’s happening within his territory.
So when a lion makes that funny-looking face, he’s not pulling a strange expression… he’s gathering information from the world through scent.

Earlier this week, our exceptional guide, Wiehahn, and tracker, Sydwell, made an incredible discovery—the first to locate this African wild dog pups. Thanks to their knowledge, patience, and expert tracking skills, our guests were treated to one of the bush's most extraordinary and heartwarming sightings.

As one of Africa's most endangered carnivores, every litter of African wild dogs is a symbol of hope for the future of this remarkable species. Watching these tiny pups cautiously emerge from their den was a privilege and a reminder of the magic that unfolds every day in the wild.
