Pondoro Game Lodge is a 5-star rated small, very exclusive 16-bed lodge inside the greater Kruger National Park forming part of a 3,5 million ha ecosystem within which the animals can roam around freely. Accommodation consists of 3 standard and 5 luxury chalets which all have a view of the Olifants river which is the largest perennial river in the Kruger Park. The area is known for its good game viewing and guests can go on 2 safaris daily as well as a bush walk.

Going down memory lane back to April 2014. The silver-eyed lioness of what we called the Olifants river pride photographed on Koppie road. She was not too happy with our presence and made it known by giving a continuous low growl. We did not see this pride often as their territory extended further to the east of our traversing into Ukhozi, but each sighting was treasured.
