Emhosheni River Lodge is an ECO FRIENDLY oasis of peace and serenity located on the northern banks of the Olifants River inside the greater Kruger National Park – South Africa. The three Riverview Chalets (traditional African thatched chalet) are spacious and all have their own private deck / patio each of them offering superb views over the Olifants River. The lodge offers guests the opportunity

to become one with nature and experience serenity and silence while enjoying the comfort and luxury the lodge has to offer.

On yesterday evening's drive with Cameron, not only one but TWO leopards were spotted! 🤩🐾 We’re always thrilled to spend a little time with these elusive big cats, and two sightings made the evening unforgettable!

Vervets are opportunistic foragers, with a surprisingly varied diet. 🌿🐒
From fruits and seeds to flowers, insects and young leaves, they make the most of whatever the bush has to offer, including a little fresh grass on the menu.
They’re always on the lookout for their next meal, and they’re remarkably good at finding it. 🌿
So please keep your doors closed. Vervets are resourceful little creatures, and they have a particular talent for finding things they probably shouldn’t. Leave a door open and suddenly your peaceful safari morning has turned into a very enthusiastic monkey inspection. 🐒🍌

A safari lodge is so much more than the wildlife — it’s the people who make you feel at home. ❤️

Today, we’d like you to meet Eric, one of the friendly faces who helps make every stay at Emhosheni special.

From welcoming guests with a smile to making sure everyone has what they need around the table, Eric brings his own warmth and personality to the lodge every day.

But we want you to get to know him a little better…

🐘Favourite animal: Elephant

🌿 What he likes doing when he's not at work: Spending time with family and working in his garden

😊 His favourite part of his job: Meeting new people and chatting with them at meal times

👀 Something people may not know about him: That's his secret he says 😂

We're lucky to have Eric as part of our Emhosheni family, and we're sure many of our returning guests will recognise this familiar face
