Together, we’re building a fairer, more inclusive Inner West. 💛 Newtown Neighbourhood Centre (NNC) aims to build an inclusive, resilient, self-reliant and creative community. The Centre provides community support services to the local community and in particular the disadvantaged groups such as the aged, people with disabilities, people who are homeless, people with mental illness, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and people on low incomes.

Week 1 of Stay Healthy, Stay Connected is a wrap! 💛 A big thank you to everyone who joined us for Falls Prevention with Physiotherapist David Smith. Practical tips, great questions and a room full of good company.

We’re proud to shout out Newtown Champion Naan Sense Indian Diner, who’ve been feeding King Street since 1991 (that’s a lot of garlic naan).

Their eat-all-you-can buffet might be the best-value feed on the strip. You get 8 curries (4 vegetarian, 4 meat), plain and garlic naan, papadums and mango chutney, and you can go back as many times as you like. Say less!

Pop in, pay them a visit, and enjoy a few papadums whilst you’re at it.

They’re BACK, and they’re bigger, louder and ready to get Newtown rocking 🤘🎃 REVERSE REVOLUTION rocked our Halloween bash last year, and they’ve come a long way since. A debut album, sets at Marrickville Music Festival, Crows Nest Festival, Dragon’s Dreaming, and they’re still not old enough to drive!!! 🎸

We’re stoked to have these them opening our Halloween Street Party again. Expect punk energy, original tracks and covers you’ll be screaming along to (Green Day, anyone?)

Come early, snag yourself a sausage from our big bbq cook up, and get ready to mosh in your costume! Then stick around for more live grooves from Penny Red 🔥

Newtown, we’re turning it UP this Halloween 🎸🎃

We’re so excited to have local legends Penny Red headlining our Halloween Street Party, with REVERSE REVOLUTION warming up the crowd. Expect big sound, bigger costumes, and Darley St turned into the best dance floor in the Inner West.

Bring the kids, bring your nan, bring the dog in a cape. Dance like nobody’s watching (they will be, you’re dressed as a vampire). It’s all FREE and all ages, because a great night out shouldn’t cost a thing.

Once a year our halls get a little spooky 🕸️ The cobwebs go up, the pumpkins come out, and Darley Street fills with witches, ghouls and very good dogs in costume. But for the other 364 days, these hallowed halls are actually available to hire, and they scrub up pretty nicely.

🏡 There's Gadigal Hall for up to 100 people, with timber floors, a projector and glass doors opening onto the courtyard. It's ideal for workshops, screenings, celebrations or your end-of-year do.
🌈 The Rainbow Room seats 12 for meetings, classes or a quiet bit of yoga.
💡 Anastasia's Room is perfect for one-on-ones.
☀️ Our two courtyards are made for team celebrations: a long lunch in the sun, end-of-year drinks, or toasting a milestone worth celebrating.

Best part? Every booking goes straight back into our community, helping keep the Drop-In Hub open and our outreach team on the streets. Your next team offsite could genuinely do some good 👻
