Kip completely ignoring the children, even with a sausage roll on offer! 😂🐶
The children absolutely loved the sheepdog demonstration today! 🐑❤️
They learnt all about our wonderful Herdwick sheep — where they live, how they manage to stay warm so high up on the fells, why they come back down from the mountains and, of course, why they always look like they’re smiling! 😊
And the answer to that last one? Because they love seeing the children, of course! 🥹❤️
Honestly, seeing their little faces light up, watching them learn about farming, asking questions and getting so excited about the animals was just the best feeling.
For us, farming is about so much more than looking after animals. It’s about sharing our way of life, helping children understand the countryside around them and making memories that will hopefully stay with them for years to come. 🌿❤️
And after seeing how much fun everyone had today, I think Farmer for the Day birthday parties might just be on the cards at Stonethwaite Farm! 🚜🎈🐑
