After four years of careful transformation, we are proud to share that Penmaenuchaf has completed the final phase of its refurbishment.

Set beneath Cadair Idris and overlooking the Mawddach Estuary, our historic house has been refurbished in collaboration with Nicola Harding & Co, with all fourteen bedrooms and our shared guest spaces now complete.

The final phase introduces five newly designed bedrooms, including a new master suite with a private balcony, alongside a reimagined Afon Restaurant, Library, Music Room and Morning Room.

Inspired by Welsh landscape, craftsmanship and the feeling of hiraeth, the completed house reflects our deep connection to people, place and story.

This charming space features a grand four-poster bed and a vast picture window framing our historic formal gardens. The light-filled bathroom offers both a roll-top bath and a separate monsoon shower, ideal for unwinding after a day exploring the mountains or coast.

Inspired by the timeless love story of Rhys and Meinir, set in the valley of Nant Gwythern in Gwynedd, the room carries the bittersweet beauty of their tale. Their devotion, tragically cut short on their wedding day, lives on in legend, and perhaps even in spirit, as sightings of a couple hand in hand along the shoreline continue to this day.
