Our nightmare Airbnb experience 😟

📍 We have not long returned from a trip to London to visit our son and booked an Airbnb which we often do ( unless we can book direct of course). We arrived late evening in the pouring rain to an Airbnb that looked NOTHING like the pictures and it was far from clean 😣 It was seriously baaaaaad. We were gutted 😟 and quickly booked into a hotel so all was ok in the end.

💭 However my thoughts were, what if you had kids in tow, or an elderly parent? It's just so disappointing and inconvenient to book elsewhere, not to mention expensive!

👀 Here at Tatha Properties we like to keep a presence on social media, offering a more personal touch and where you can see what goes on and who is behind the scenes.

📆 So from when you browse, book, stay and check out we are always available ensuring the accommodation meets your expectations and if there is an issue we will try our best to sort it there and then.

🔑 We also offer a meet and greet with the keys for check in, can take your luggage early and ahead of check in if it makes things easier. Also if you have any queries about the accommodation or the area we are available to get your holiday off to a good start.

We strive to offer a place that is clean, comfortable, warm and hope the pictures reflect what you see when you arrive.

The Renovation continues…..

Plastercraft (Ross & Paul): Finished and did a brilliant job. The walls are so smooth and they even replaced a bit of cornicing that came down 🙈

JPGS Joinery (Nathan, Steven & Graeme): Started fitting the flooring and put up the panelling. It’s really taking shape 🔨

RDH Electrical Services (Rob & Taylor): Have brought light into the house 💡

Bruce Conacher Painter & Decorator aka wizard: Has started and is patiently waiting on me to pick paint colours ASAP. (Please send help!)

Cleanliness is top priority when you have a holiday let. it’s so tough to get someone who understands how important it is for your business.

I'm always telling people how good Dundee is for a holiday with little ones. So much to do on your doorstep or just a short 20 minute drive. We don't get busy like the bigger cities, making it easy and stress free to get around. Dundonians are also the nicest people (and I can say that as I'm not from Dundee! 😆)

We love having little ones come to stay and we provide a travel cot as well as a high chair upon request because after all you don't travel light when your a parent with children in tow.

Where we can help and make your stay a little easier we will and have recently added a food blender, baby bowls with spoons as well as a toilet stool.

Do you know we are situated right by the River Tay? You can see over to Tayport, in Fife and the bridge to take you over to St Andrews is just over to the right, where there is also a walk way if you fancied exploring on foot 👣

On a still day a walk along the river side towards the V & A, stopping of course at Heather street food truck for the best fresh coffee (buy local and support this lovely family business!) and treat yourself to one of their freshly made donuts, they never disappoint! 🍩 ☕

The waterfront area of Dundee is transformed. Yoga classes on a Saturday morning, free kids activities at the V & A, kids play area outdoors and the V & A exhibitions are always worth a nosey 🧘‍♀️

It's the perfect spot to explore Dundee and beyond

What colour do we go with for this stunning front door?

Classic Black

A classy cream

I really do love the old features and trying to restore and keep what we can 😍

I'm also thinking some nice tiles to replace the existing terracotta ones 😊

Afterall first impressions are important right?🔑

We have a main door entry and free on street parking ✅

It's a work in progress but hoping to be opening in the coming months, license permitting of course 🙏

The V & A in Dundee, thoughts?

An architectural dream or disaster?

Whatever you think of the building, it has lots of free activities for kids, a cute little shop, cafe upstairs and exhibitions that are worth a look.

It’s 10 minutes from the flat, situated on the river Tay.

Personally I’m big fan! I love that Dundee has this and people travel here to visit. The only other one is London! Go Dundee 🙌
