Tonight's the night 🚢 🔺🔺️️ 🌅

It was quite poignant that this morning my memories popped up of our very first coastal connections trip, 7 years ago today.... this will be my 6th one with the guys 🫠

I've been a little quiet on the page lately...

After Friday's town run, we set off for a weekend adventuring around Braemar, ticking off 2 Munros, a Corbett and a Graham (or perhaps a Fiona! 🤔), with two of the summits also boasting trig points. 🙌

It was great to get away and explore some new hills for a change, which I'll hopefully get posted soon.

For now though, it's all eyes on tonight's Summer Solstice Trigpoint Tuesday Special.

11 adventurers.
2 trig points.
1 island.
A private boat.

We'll be setting sail for Lismore this evening in search of spectacular views, great company and hopefully a memorable Hebridean sunset. 🍪 🍸 🍓

The Nether Largie cairns in Kilmartin Glen tell a lot about how people here lived over 3,000 years ago. Inside these stone mounds are carefully built burial chambers, carved slabs and traces of rituals that help archaeologists understand how Bronze Age communities honoured their dead. What’s fascinating is how the cairns line up with other monuments across the glen, showing that this whole landscape was planned with meaning and structure.
