All at the heart of the Seven Sisters Country Park. More than a quirky café. Make bookings directly online at saltmarshfarmhouse.

A 16th century Grade II listed Farmhouse now delivery outstanding boutique Bed & Breakfast accommodation, and a fabulous dog friendly Cafe serving a locally sourced menu, barista coffee & drinks. Just around the corner from the Seven Sisters Country Park visitor centre, located in the courtyard of a 16th Century flint building called Exceat Farmhouse. Offering takeaway hot and cold drinks and a selection of home cooked savories, ciabattas, soup and cakes. Opening times vary during low season from Oct-Mar but visitors will mostly likely find it open on a fine photographic day. Somewhat hidden and weather dependent, locals in the know check social media or the website before venturing out. The real secret though is that behind the café, in the main building of the farmhouse, there is also a beautiful boutique hotel with 6 bedrooms and a suite with fireplace.

A reminder that our Christmas wreath making workshop with Betty from is coming up on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th November, 2–4pm.

We love seeing what the team at spot out on the park, from black swans gliding on the water to common lizards basking in the grass, tiny toads tucked in the undergrowth and insects on the flowers.

This landscape is so much more than a pretty view - it's a living, breathing habitat and we feel very lucky to be right in the middle of it.

Looking for something to do with the family this half term?

are running autumn themed crafts and activities at the Pump Barn, Seven Sisters Visitor Centre from Tuesday 28th to Thursday 30th October, 11am to 2:30pm. Free to attend, no booking required - donations for materials always appreciated.

A lovely way to spend a morning, and we're just around the corner if you need a good breakfast or lunch beforehand.

2 months until Christmas Eve.. Have you planned a relaxing break away?

Waking up on Christmas morning surrounded by the peace and quiet of the Seven Sisters Country Park is a pretty special way to do it. We're also perfectly placed if you're visiting family in the area and need a comfortable base nearby.

Half term has arrived.

Whether you're looking for a delicious breakfast to kick off a day of exploring or something lighter from the counter, we've got everyone covered. Don't forget we also have a children's breakfast menu - little ones can choose from eggs, sausage, bacon, hash brown and more, or opt for half a pancake stack with strawberry compote or bacon and maple syrup.

Our festive menu is now available to book.

Running from 1st to 23rd December, 12pm to 3pm in the Friston Room - two courses for £29 or three for £35.

Highlights include house cure gravlax with roast beetroot and crème fraîche, free range roast Sussex turkey with all the trimmings, slow braised Sussex beef featherblade with horseradish mash, and for those after something plant based, a cranberry and roast nut wellington. To finish, a mince pie cheesecake with plum compote or a rhubarb and custard trifle.

Our Seaview room is our largest double, with views over the Cuckmere Valley and our private lawned garden.

Bright and comfortable, with a king-size bed, ensuite shower room and dressing area. À la carte breakfast included each morning.

A good base for exploring this part of East Sussex at any time of year.

A new week at Saltmarsh and the café is open daily from 9am.

The Friston Room is open for lunch Tuesday to Saturday from 12:30pm, and with half term just around the corner, it's a good week to plan a visit to Seven Sisters Country Park with the family.
