North Nethercleave Holiday Cottages

28/10/2026

We have a busy few weeks ahead making changes and improvements!

We’ve started off by making the Root House completely self sufficient by adding a washer/dryer and fridge freezer. Along with our other cottages it now also has an air fryer!

The Root House is already proving popular for 2027!!

We already have bookings in the diary for Easter, half of May and the majority of July!! 🥳

At our busiest, in the manic weeks of summer, the planning hasn’t stopped, and we’ll definitely be working just as hard through the winter months. We’ve got lots of plans and ideas but we’ve also listened to the thoughts and feedback of our dearly valued guests (please always keep them coming 🙏)

Project one was our games room which has proved to be a huge success, keeping both the kids and adults entertained ✅

We’ve made some of the small additions and improvements from extra coat hooks and lamp shades to new cushions, throws and garden furniture. Simple additions - but when you’re calling our cottages home for a week they matter ✅

We’re reviewing appliances and upgrading as we go - already we’ve replaced several microwaves, dishwashers and fridges ✅

Because nowadays every family needs one - all of our cottages now have air fryers ✅

We’re starting to add a splash of colour starting with the addition of the very talented, Devon based Becky Bettersworths’ travel posters! (We ❤️ love these as they give us the opportunity to highlight our favourite parts of North Devon) ✅

Overall it’s been a very busy year since we took over North Nethercleave. As winter approaches the paintbrushes will be out and more changes will be coming!

Watch this space as we’re super excited to show you as we go! 🎉
