Cleanup has progressed well, and we’re happy to share that most of our cabins are now ready and open for business! While the weather hit us hard, we’re grateful for the snow and cold—it’s part of life in the mountains and one of the reasons so many people love coming here. Even in challenging times, the beauty and blessings of Ruidoso shine through. We’re ready to welcome you and hope to see you soon!

We wanted to give you all an update on the situation since the winter storm hit. These pictures show just a small amount of the damage Story Book Cabins suffered. Many more branches and limbs have fallen throughout the property doing damage to cabins, fences, and equipment. On top of that, the power was out for 60 hours and the phone lines/Internet are still out. If anyone has tried to call us, that is why you could not get through. We will have to stay closed and unable to take bookings for at least 2 weeks to assess damage and clean up the debris. It has been a rough three years for Ruidoso but we will keep pushing forward and are grateful for your ongoing support and loyalty. Looking forward to being open and welcoming you all back!

Today at 2:00, the Upper Canyon manned road block that is set up at Main Road and Vision Drive will be moved to Main Road and Singing Pines. The jersey barrier block that has been set up at Main & South will be moved to Upper Deck and Chipmonk Avenue and the jersey barrier block at Main & Flume Canyon will be moved to Chipmonk Avenue and Forrest Lane. Ebarb Drive is now OPEN for travel.
