This film should be worth watching out for. Interesting to see pictures of lime kilns which we didn’t know about, plus one of the 2 watch towers which were yet to find!

The reservoir is still quite low after the recent dry spell so we had a stroll round the shoreline and enjoyed the unusual sights, including some million(s) year old trace fossils, soon to become a feature of Castle Cottage garden!

Great news, the Kielder visitor centre at Tower Knowe is open again. Loads of information about the construction of the reservior, plus the local wildlife, walking, cycling and dark skies. Open 9:00 to 4:30 daily.

Squirrel alarm is working on both feeders!!, no need to ever miss a visit (unless you leave the cottage). 😍😍

Osprey Watch is back at the Osprey Cabin at Tower Knowe Visitor Centre in Kielder. Every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday between 11am and 4:00pm! It is running from Saturday 4th April until mid-August. For more info - https://www.nwt.org.uk/events
